On the Track Speed Workouts: On the Track. With the coming of shorter days and colder temperatures, Bernie Livingston reports that track workouts are now being held at the Fryeburg track. Speed workouts are held every Thursday at 5:15 p.m. Workouts range from 400m repeats with a three minute rest interval between repeats to 800m repeats and longer rest intervals. Everyone runs at their own 400m pace but with the incentive of trying to stay with the runner just ahead of you. Anyone (especially newcomers) interested in learning more about speed workouts, racing faster, or enjoying a higher level of fitness should attend. No experience is necessary.
