There are a few ways to get up this mountain. I recommend the Edmunds Path, as in the trip up Mt. Eisenhower, or you could take the extremely steep and rocky Ammonusouc Ravine Trail. Once you reach the Crawford Path you follow that to the summit of Monroe, which involves quite a bit of boulder climbing. If you take the Ammonousouc Ravine Trail you can stop at Lakes in the Clouds hut before your final approach to Monroe.

Directions: Take Rt. 302 to Crawford Notch. Once you reach the notch take a right onto Mt. Clinton Rd. Follow the road until you see the Edmunds Path trailhead on the right.
