Town Hall Rd.
This is a mostly dirt road in the Bartlett / Intervale Area. It's a town road until you hit the National Forest where it turns to gravel. Some rolling hills and some long, gradual inclines. There's a nice river that runs along the left side on your way up the road. The road splits a couple of miles after the National Forest parking lot. Taking the left turn across the bridge takes you towards the back side of Black Mountain. Out and back on this fork can be up to 13 miles. Going straight at the intersection takes you towards the Mountain Pond area and the Slippery Brook Trail. This part of the road has a few steep spots but is mostly gradual. The traffic on these roads is almost non-existent, but as always keep your eyes open for traffic. |
